Sally's Insights - It’s never too late to change careers

Put down that SPANNER.
Pick up your DREAMS.

Are you in your current career because it was expected of you?

Did you take up a trade because you didn’t know what else to do?

At some point, you can’t ignore the feeling that something’s missing, often the fulfilment of doing what you love.

You might be a lawyer with a love for art and design. Or a plumber who’d rather have a camera in his hands. I once met a teacher who is now an illustrator. We all know what we’d rather be doing.

Sometimes the inner hunger is for change. You’ve enjoyed your career but now, quite reasonably, you want to try something different.

My point is, it’s never too late.

My own father went back to university at 52 years of age and graduated at 60. He went on to have a rewarding second half to his career and today at 92, is still very engaged in his calling.

If you are ready for change, let’s talk about what that looks like. And the steps you can take to make it happen.

Everything around us is changing, why not you?
