Book Binding, also known as Book Bindery, is the process of assembling and securing written or printed pages within a cover. In most cases, the cover is thicker than the interior pages to provide durability to the finished book. The process of combining printed sheets into finished products such as books, magazines, catalogues, folders, and directories is known as ‘binding.’ It can involve cutting, folding, gluing, stitching, sewing, and wrapping. It can be very tedious task, if done by own.

Perfect binding is a widely used soft cover bookbinding method. With this binding method, the pages and cover are glued together at the spine with a strong yet flexible thermal glue. They have a square, printed spine and the cover is usually made from paper or cardstock that is heavier than the interior pages.

If you would like to talk to me about the production of folios or books, I’d be happy to. I know the companies well and their skill sets. Alternatively, please feel free to contact them directly and chat to them personally.
