What is your current position and job title?
Brett Phillips is the Co Founder & CEO of 3 Deep and Co Founder and Editor in Chief of the luxury media platform Neue Luxury. “Hopefully it stays that way.3 Deep is Australia’s leading luxury branding, communication & media agency. Since 1996 we have been capturing the attention of luxury consumers, whilst establishing genuine and lasting desire for the world’s most coveted brands. As Co Founder and CEO, Brett is a creative and strategic leader who has established 3 Deep as one of the most innovative and creative businesses in the world.”
Who (or what) inspires you?
Any community has its own custodians, influencers, social order and language. The luxury fashion, art and creative circles are particularly acute in this regard. Over the past 21 years, I have has been fortunate to develop enduring relationships with those at the vanguard of luxury and creativity. These relationships have allowed 3 Deep to create everything from education programs (Everything in Between) to a luxury media business (Neue Luxury). Everything inspires us.
How did you get your first break?
Our first tangible break came in the form of the Victorian Design Awards in 1996. We won the Young Designer of the Year category and with it one of our first major clients. The prize money also helped.
What made you start your own business 21 years ago?
I wasn’t good at anything else.
Tell us what you are currently working on ?
There is always so much going on between 3 Deep and Neue Luxury. I think one of most challenging projects is the launch of an experience offering for Neue Luxury. We are going to deliver extraordinary, once-in- a-lifetime experiences to those who seek of a life infused with luxury, beauty, art and culture. Its a natural evolution of the media platform that leverages the incredible relationships that we have with iconoclasts all over the world.
