THE FACES BEHIND
THE BROWNBILL EFFECT

Sally Brownbill leads a small but talented team including one who can demolish a bone bigger than her head.

Sally's Story

My Journey from Photography to Creative Consulting

After graduating from RMIT with a degree in photography, I took off on a journey to the UK—a rite of passage for many Australians. I gained valuable experience working in British TV production, West End theatre, and even as a door bitch in a nightclub, all of which helped shape my career. Upon returning to Melbourne, I founded The Flash Place and began teaching photography to students at RMIT.

At The Flash Place, I discovered my talent for connecting photographers with the opportunities they sought. This passion motivated me to join Dux Creative Consultancy, where I continued to learn and grow in other creative fields, ultimately leading to the establishment of Sally Brownbill Consulting.

Building Connections in the Creative Industry

Throughout my career, I’ve built a wonderful network of talented individuals, from industry legends to emerging creatives seeking guidance. I love helping careers take flight and being part of that journey. My experiences have taught me to trust my intuition and embrace a straightforward approach, which has become my trademark. Thanks to these connections, I’ve created an extensive network across Australia that keeps growing!”

Why I Started The Brownbill Effect

In 2013, I launched The Brownbill Effect as a natural next step from Sally Brownbill Consulting. My joy comes from helping others, which fuels everything I do (and keeps me naturally caffeinated!). I also guest lecture and collaborate with students to stay in the loop in this ever-changing creative world. I get how isolating this journey can feel, and I’m here to help! With my unique blend of services, I help others be the best that they can be.
