Kat Chien’s art direction and design aesthetic is heavily influenced by her love of the arts and her 12 years of working full time in the industry as an arts administrator, with companies specialising in the presentation of dance, music and visual arts. Working as a multidisciplinary freelance graphic designer since 2017, Kat has worked on projects relating to branding and strategy, visual campaigns, digital marketing and print publications.

In addition to creating her own designs, Kat has managed a number of event projects and marketing activations through her previous positions, giving art direction to a number of design professionals and agencies over the years. Her range of skills and professional experience have often been described as unique having experienced ‘client side’ while possessing design knowledge and aesthetic influences that befits any setting.

Kat can offer her considered knowledge and extensive experience, genuine honesty and sense of good humour to accomplish any job at hand. Chinese Mandarin is her second language therefore is also able to take on design jobs that require Chinese typesetting.
