What inspired you to become a professional TV Producer?
I have always been a very organized and forward thinking person. I love bringing creative people together and making sure that everyone’s needs are met in a pleasant and productive way.
How did you get your first break?
I worked with Ian Iveson years ago. He had his own production company and gave me my first break as a Production Manager. I will always be grateful for that as I learnt so much from him. To this day I call him if I need some advice. He is a very wise man and one of the best people I know.
What paths have you taken to get to where you are today?
I have surrounded myself with the best people in the industry and learnt from all of them.
What advice about the do's and don'ts would you give to an aspiring Producer?
I would advise that they surround themselves with people they can trust and that they put everything in writing as this is a very fast moving industry and things change very quickly. It is important to keep a clear head and to stay calm. Don’t take things personally.
Tell us about the campaigns you're currently working on and what sets you apart from the rest of the industry?
I have just finished working on a few campaigns with Tracey Rowe for M&C Saatchi and DMB in Austria. Moccona has been very well received and was a huge project that took Tracey and I over 4 months of our time. She is a brilliant director and stays focused at all times. Darbo is a client she has had for the last 9 years and despite the many challenges in a huge post production job she stayed so clear on her vision of the job. Tracey has a wonderful relationship with Nigel Mortimer from Blockhead and this shone through on the end product. What sets me apart from the rest of the industry? I can only say that I completely love being a producer and I only ever work with directors I truly believe in.
